My Story

Hey everyone!

My name is Jess and I own Jessica's Kusina. I am from the Big Island of Hawaii and moved to Washington 8 years ago. I am a first generation Filipino-American. I love to read, hangout with friends and family, go on adventures, explore the world, cook delicious foods, and bake amazing desserts! I am a self-taught baker and I love creating new and exciting things with my sweets!

I started Jess Kusina after I graduated and I can say, its been a journey to get here. Don't get me wrong, I love every minute of it especially when I get to create desserts I love for my community. I wanted to bring a space to others where I could show my filipino heritage through my cooking and why not better than with sweet treats. I wanted to bring that comfort you get when you are at home with your nanang (grandmother) when she makes food for you. It is a reward when I get to see everyones faces light up when they taste my treats, if you haven't yet grab yours now! You will not regret it!
